Inclusivity isn’t only for queer weddings.
Inclusivity is just as important at straight weddings. Why? Because being an ally means that you ensure that your LGBTQ+ family and friends are just as loved and welcomed in the spaces that you are inviting them too.

Do your vendors align with your values?
We have talked about this before, but this is arguably, the most important question to ask yourself. Some vendors will make their values known by sharing their stances on social media, showing diversity in their posts, donating to organizations that align with what you care about. And others may not. Before you decide to invest in a vendor ask them if they would serve your LGBTQ friends wedding. Because you should hire vendors that love, celebrate and respect LGBTQ+ people. LGBTQ+ people should not just be overlooked, tolerated, or neglected.
So a message to all the straight couples out there…
IF YOUR VENDORS WOULDN’T HAPPILY SERVE AND CELEBRATE YOUR LGBTQ+ FRIENDS, FAMILY, & COMMUNITY MEMBERS, THEN THEY SHOULDN’T BE BOOKED TO DO YOUR WEDDING. INCLUSIVITY MATTERS EVERYWHERE.
